Spend A Day in St Pete
Since we’ve touched on St Pete Beach & Tampa Bay (be sure to check those out), it’s only right we give St Petersburg a turn! We’ve put together some of our favorite spots that we know will make for the best day spent here. Let’s dive right in…
LIFE IS BETTER WITH BRUNCH!
The Library: This is a must for Downtown St. Pete Brunch, it brings a lively atmosphere & variety on the menu! You have to try the nutella french toast it is to die for! Also a great place for “salad & fries.” It’s also the sister restaurant to Oxford Exchange, so you can expect the same level of vibes.
Wild Child: If you’re looking for something a little more causal but still worth your while, this is the spot. Full bar and a patio? Say less. Not to mention it’s located right on Central, just a short walk from other bars and restaurants if you want to keep the party going. Cocktails and Lost & Found just to name a few.
Noble Crust: known as one of the best Italian restaurants in St. Petersburg with a Southern twist. There is indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio with a retractable roof, & plenty of open space for a large party. It’s in the north part of St. Pete, so we recommend checking it out if your staying in St. Pete but heading to Tampa for the day. It will be on your way.
SEIZE THE DAY!
St Pete Pier: This gleaming attraction on the city’s picturesque waterfront promises limitless fun for everyone; it is the ultimate place to stroll, bike, dine, drink, shop, swim, take in a concert & more. Located just a short walk away from North Straub Park where you can find frequent outdoor markets, North Shore Park, & Beach Dr where you can find an array of some adorable restaurants, shops, etc.
Saturday Morning Market: This vibrant market is a celebration of all things local, featuring farm-fresh produce, food products, and a wide range of arts & crafts. Visitors can wander through rows of vendors sampling delicious treats from food trucks or picking up unique pieces of jewelry or art.
Bar Hopping in Downtown St. Pete: We recommend starting at Parks & Rec (an indoor adult playground with old school arcade gaming) and then making your way over to Central avenue where you’ll find tons of bars & restaurants. Goodnight JohnBoy is an absolute MUST. More of a nighttime stop, but they open at 2 on the weekends for our early birds.
Permanent Jewelry at Sadie + Sky: Conveniently located in Downtown St. Pete! It’s the perfect stop on any day and the cutest way to memorialize a day with the girls! They provide a bottle of bubbles, but you can also BYOB and make it a lil party while everyone picks out their pieces.
Candle Making at Candle Pour: The most fun custom candle-making experience! Create your own candle from your choice of over 100 different fragrance oils. It takes about 45 min-an hour and then 2 hours before it’s ready to go. There’s bars and restaurants conveniently located within walking distance, perfect for while you wait! We recommend checking out GreenBench Brewery or No Vacancy.
Private Pottery Class at Sugar Cream Clay: Literally so fun! You can book a private party for up to 20 people. You’ll take turns in groups of 4 to create a functional piece of pottery to take home! You’ll get to take over the place with your own spotify playlist, BYOB, & bring your own food!
As you can see, there is TONS to do! If you enjoy art, or want to see some cool exhibits you won’t find anywhere else, be sure to visit The Dali Museum, Fairgrounds St Pete, or do a full mural tour of St Pete.
ROOFTOP SUNSET & VIBES
Canopy at Birchwood: While maintaining its class, this bumpin’ spot is a little more casual but versatile & great for happy hour and apps. Not to mention most of the time they have a live DJ to set the vibes just right!
Pier Teaki: For a little more casual approach, this rooftop still overs amazing views. Located at the peak of the Pier, you’ll have a full panorama view of the water and the rest of the Pier. This spot is especially great if you’re already spending the afternoon along the Pier!
DINNER TIME = BEST TIME
Good Fortune: This place is perfect for a fun dinner! Their menu is full of small plates, sushi, & amazing craft cocktails. It’s more of a lounge vibe for dinner, complete with a DJ and gorgeous bar area. Plus they have karaoke in the back!
Fortu: This restaurant is new to town, but definitely making a name for itself! Think elevated Pan-Asain cuisine and elegant, upscale vibes. Put this one on the groom’s tab.
Stillwater Tavern, BellaBrava, or Cassis: These neighboring restaurants will put you in the heart of Beach Drive which is a great place to begin your adventures in Downtown St. Pete! All of the menus have something different to offer, but the vibes are all pretty comparable!
Allelo: Right on Beach Drive! The vibes are so cute and cozy. Think elevated Mediterranean, small plates, and delicious drinks. The bar to die for. It’s right next to the Canopy at Birchwood for pre or post dinner rooftop drinks.
